This project was about designing a new useable space that can be fit/installed onto ANY pickup truck in the country- converting that truck into a unique & livable, camping-friendly space.
This page documents the process of my first prototype. It was installed onto my own vehicle - a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac in 2022.
The master CAD model itself is completely parametric and can be adjusted to fit any truck on the market.
When the final version is finished, people will be able to select their truck model online, assemble their kit how they wish, order it all at once, and install it themselves.
This is the only Flat-Pack Modular Camper kit on the market - period.
This was the final result of my first prototype. I am very happy with the build of this version. It, to-date, is the largest product I have designed, prototyped, and installed thus far.

- CAD/CAM programming
- Laser Cutting/Engraving
- Multi-Tool (ATC) CNC Operations
- Vinyl Plotter Operation/Applications
- Power Tool & Hand Tool fine-tuning
- Process documentation
- Project MGMT / BOM creation.
- Installation specs (Torque, et al).
- Product Testing (At 70+ MPH)
One damn fun project.
